2.80-3.02 DevHook Firmware Installer 0.5b

PSPWe have been inundated with a range of different Booster that allows PSP users to use fw1.5 and fw2.71 on a single PSP.”>DevHook firmware installers over the past few days, notable of which were those from tommydanger (the guy that started it all off) and the recently-released one from Black_skull for firmware 3.02.

Today, tommydanger has released another DevHook Firmware Installer to make it easier for you to install DevHook versions onto your PSP – something that will while your time away until Booster releases another version of DevHook. DevHook Firmware Installer 0.5b now installs any firmware update ranging from 2.80 – 3.02 into the correct folders of DevHook.

An advantage for those of you with smaller memory sticks is that this version deletes the update after installation, something good for users of 32MB sticks. Also, if you had a problem with the X/O button configuration last time you used this application, then you’ll be glad to hear that tommydanger has fixed this to comply with the US/EU X/O button layout. Here’s how to use this application:

  • Place the desired firmware update on the root of your memory stick and make sure it’s labelled “EBOOT.pbp”
  • Install the latest version of Devhook and this installer.
  • In the XMB menu choose “Devhook Firmware Installer”
  • Once prompted hit [X] to install the firmware files for DevHook
  • Wait till PSP reboots, start Devhook, choose desired firmware, and reboot. Done!

The source code has been included in the download, and remember you can find all of the Firmware Update EBOOTs in the PSP firmware update of our downloads site.
