2K Sports announces All-Pro Football 2k8 soundtrack
According to an official press release made available recently, 2K Sports has announced that All-Pro Football 2k8 (for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) will feature music by DJ Z-Trip, a master of combining disparate songs. The soundtrack will sport original arrangements by DJ Z-Trip, including a mixture of remixes and mash-ups in one package wrapped up as “All Pro.”
“Since 2K SportsÂ’ All-Pro Football 2K8 is taking football to the next level with landmark gameplay innovations, we wanted the soundtrack to reflect the latest in music innovations,” said 2K Games director of marketing Tim Rosa. He mentioned that DJ Z-Trip was the “logical step” the studio took next, in recognition for Z-Trip’s pioneering of the art of mash-ups.
In relation to this news, 2K Sports and Decon Records are planning a summer tour to coincide with the launch of All-Pro Football 2k8 and a separate retail version of the game’s soundtrack. DJ Z-Trip claimed to have amassed a number of critically-acclaimed artists to provide lyrics and raps to his arrangements, in keeping with the “revolutionary” theme of the football title.
And that would probably be this summer, as previously revealed during the game’s unveiling at the start of this year.
