30-minute Turok demo available at GameStop early next month

Turok - Image 1Video game news website IGN reports that those waiting for Turok (PS3, Xbox 360) can get a demo disc of the game as well as a Turok t-shirt by pre-ordering a copy from GameStop in the early part of November. All you need is US$ 5 and you’re good to go.

Those who have already pre-ordered the game can check with their local GameStop and get their demo disc and shirt. The demo disc will also be available at Best Buy this December.

The 30-minute demo will reportedly feature the first quarter of the game. While the final copy of Turok will have three difficulty levels, the demo disc will be locked on normal mode.

IGN also managed to get the skinny on Turok‘s multiplayer mode courtesy of Propaganda Games VP and GM, Josh Holmes. Multiplayer will apparently be restricted to online and will have ten different maps: seven for competitive play and three for co-op.

Competitive multiplayer modes include deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag, assault capture the flag and war games. The game’s co-op mode will feature maps specifically designed for up to four players, not a rehash of the single-player campaign.

Turok is currently slated for a February 2008 release in North America.
