According to the developers, the Lite version was supposed to merely draw attention to the full game, serve as a trial game and not as a substitute in the absence of the full version.

IUGO’s Director of Business Development, Sarah Thomson, explained that Lite has already been out in the App Store for three months, and yet the approval for the game’s full version has yet to be given to them. As such, they feel that months after their submission for approval, the trial version is no longer necessary.

“There is such a disparity in the release dates now that the Lite version holds no real purpose at this point,” she said. And while Apple has already apologized for the hold up, they offered no explanation as to what was the cause for the delay. “Sure we’re frustrated and wish we’d hear either way. If the content is too hot then we’re happy to go back and re-work it.”

She said that they would have rather gotten the rejection instead of waiting for word – any word at all – that never comes. “At least with it being rejected we have the chance to make changes and resubmit. Right now there’s nothing we can do.”

A.D.D. is but the latest casualty in the growing list of games pending approval from Apple for the App Store, or have been summarily rejected without any clear reason.
