We've got a whole lotta lovin' - Image 1Here’s a basket of goodies from the land down under. Sony Computer Entertainment Australia is happy to announce that they will be bringing two of the land’s biggest sporting codes exclusively to the PSP. Come July, you will be enjoying AFL Challenge and Rugby League Challenge on your fave handheld.

Each player and every team are officially licensed, and so will be fully recreated for the games. Said Michale Ephraim, Managing Director for SCE Australia & New Zealand,

AFL and NRL games have been a longstanding fixture on PlayStation 2 and enjoyed over the years by fans and players alike. For the first time, we are bringing these two great footy codes to PSP and are proud to be working with HIES to support Australian development teams who have created this great new PSP content.

SCE Australia has been an official partner of the code for the past five years, and so has had a strong foundation built for this partnership, which then translates to the games. For the PlayStation 2 alone, the AFL and NRL sporting franchises have sold over 370,000 game combined.

AFL Challenge and Rugby League Challenge are expected to come this July, and are being developed by Melbourne-based studio Wicked Witch Software.
