Alan Wake media update

Oh the horror

Now, you’re probably aware that rumors are floating around about Alan Wake being fully playable for both Microsoft‘s Xbox360 and Windows Vista. So instead of discussing those we’ve decided to give you the latest available screenshots and a few videos of the game instead.

For those who don’t know, Alan Wake from Remedy Entertainment is one of those horror styled thriller games. And from the looks of the available trailers, it’s more Silent Hill than Resident Evil. It seems that the scare in this game is more of the psychological and “slow-creep-out” type than the shock factor type (although that doesn’t rule out the presence of creepy crawlies). Want to know what happens when an insomniac author who lost his wife begins to see weird creatures and shadowy figures? We’ll have to play the game to find out.

Below are the latest screens we could find. And they certainly show off the Xbox 360’s power. For one thing, The detail on the backlighting on the character models are amazing. And most likely the game will be too, so that’s something to look forward to.

Two more screens and two teaser trailers (they may be old but hey, they still look neat) of the game as bonus for you guys after the jump!
