Alone in the Dark 5 Xbox 360 demo coming “around launch”

Alone in the Dark - Image 1Thankfully we are no longer blindsided when it comes to the release dates of Atari‘s Alone in the Dark (PC, PS3, Wii). However, if you can’t wait until June 20 (Europe) or 24 (U.S.) to play the survival horror game on your Xbox 360, know that a demo won’t rescue you from your impatience. Head over the full article for Atari’s fresh news about the Xbox 360 demo.

Alone in the Dark 5 from Atar - Image 1

Atari and Infogrames continue a tradition of survival horror gaming older than the more mainstream Resident Evil series with Alone in the Dark 5. Now, it won’t be long until we hook up with private investigator Edward Carnby again.

However, if you’re one of those marshmallow kids who really can’t wait, we’re sorry to burst your bubble but a demo won’t be of much help to keep you busy. Over at the Atari forums, Atari representative Tenebra updates us about the demo:

Update on the demo: X360 demo will be released at around launch. No confirmations on other formats. Apologies, I was given incorrect information.

So if you own an Xbox 360, you’d still have to wait it out. But that’s a better situation than PC, Nintendo Wii, or Sony PlayStation 3 users who would have to wait some more for the demo and their own console versions of Alone in the Dark 5. Updates as we get them.
