Best-selling PS3 games in Japan so far, MGS4 on top

PS3 - Image 1Not long after the PS3 celebrated its second birthday, Japanese gaming mag Famitsu publishes the console’s highlights, as well as it’s best-selling titles. None other than Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots finds a seat as PS3’s best-seller in Japan. Who else made it to the list? Find out in the full article.

In commemoration of PS3’s second birthday, Famitsu wrote a small feature on the console’s highlights, as well as a list of the PS3’s best-selling titles in Japan as of November 16th, 2008.

Coming in at #1 is Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, selling 671,706 since its launch.

Despite being the newest release on that chart, MGS4 has absolutely no problem leaving the competition in the dust. Haven’t played Minna no Golf 5, so I don’t know how that made it to top two, but I suppose the Japanese are crazy about it. World Soccer Winning Eleven 2008, on the other hand, is definitely a keeper (no pun intended).
