Blizzard’s listening: The Armory feedback thread

Nice to know Blizzard‘s being civilized about this. In light of the recent reactions that have been popping at the WoW Europe discussion boards regarding World of Warcraft‘s new Armory feature, Aeus (one of Blizzard‘s spokespersons on that forum) has set up a quiet little suggestion thread to help flesh out this still-experimental addition. As Aeus stated in the new thread:

Now that the Armoury is live and we’ve already received some feedback (both positive and negative) we want to ask you for more specific feedback.

Disclaimer: We can’t promise to change anything (right away), nonetheless we would very much like to hear your opinion(s).

We would like everyone to provide us specific feedback on what they like and what they donÂ’t like and please include very specifically why.

We will then look at all the players’ feedback and take it from there.

The Armory is a new database section for WoW‘s main site. It basically allows players to sift through the vital statistics of in-game players, guilds, and Arena tournament teams even if they’re not online. As of late, the suggestion thread is receiving some healthy advice to help it along – here are some of the more interesting ideas:

  • By Sleeque: Additional features – would be nice to have different gear sets option and available crafting recipes displayed.
  • By Fridgewind: I suggest to extend the armoury with a Character Guild History. This history could contain all the guilds he was in, and how long was a character in too. (from-to date) This could come handy when someone wants to check whom he’s inviting to his guild.

If you guys think you have a good suggestion for new tweaks that could make the Armory section more player-friendly, do remember to drop by the boards – and let us know while you’re at it.
