No worries – sell it and get yourself the SoundDock Series II. It’s very similar to the original – in fact, it’s been designed to look similar – except that it charges the iPhone 3G.

The new SoundDock also has the SoundDock Portable’s more advanced remote control, and a new auxiliary input so you can plug in other audio devices. The device will be available by September, and will be going for US$ 299. If you didn’t buy the original SoundDock, you might want to consider buying Series II anyway.
