Bungie: We’re investigating Halo 3 Game Save Bug

Halo 3 - Image 1

For those of us already blessed with a copy of Bungie StudiosHalo 3 and are looking into finishing the fight over at a friend’s house, bad luck: there’s a bug in the game’s save system that prevents anyone from transferring campaign progress to another Xbox 360, whether you’re using a memory unit or even your hard drive.

Sure, you’ll be able to access any mission or insertion point you’ve recently completed, but continuing from your last save spot? Nope, the game will only flash a message that says “Unsafe to Respawn”, before taking you back into the main menu. Ouch.

So, what’s the deal here? We’re not entirely sure, but what we do know is that Bungie is already looking into what’s causing the problem, as well as a way to resolve it. The developer also announced that the reason Bungie PRO subscriptions are currently offline is because of a small issue that they’re also busy hacking away at.

Well, at least it’s nothing really serious. But all the same, it’s good that the guys behind Halo 3 are constantly vigilant and are ready to respond at the first sign of bugs. Here’s to a quick workaround to the glitch!
