Burnout Paradise DLC update: Big Surf Island, screens and details

Criterion Games just gave an update for their upcoming premium downloadable content for Burnout Paradise (PS3, Xbox 360). The place is called Big Surf Island and will be featuring the “Dust Storm” Car (which will, of course, be made available when at the same time as Big Surf Island).
As the pictures below depict, the setting is mainly a tropical-style vacation spot and big air ramps and locations will be fairly common.
Although they did mention during their podcasts that Big Surf will be free to download, the amount of time and effort that’s gone into the making of this DLC has convinced them otherwise. It will be pay to play. A pity, but if there’s truth in the credo, “you get what you pay for,” then this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
