Buy Final Fantasy XIII, get a chance to beta test XIV

The franchise may have changed over the past few years, but hey, Final Fantasy is still Final Fantasy, and the name still draws eyes over to its games. What do you say to beta-testing the next one? If you do get yourself a copy of Final Fantasy XIII, which is officially in stores today, you stand a chance to become a beta tester for Final Fantasy XIV.

This offer is only available via the PS3 version of FFXIII, with a quick reminder from Sony that Final Fantasy XIV will only be playable on their console.

 

As for the offer, here’s what SCEA senior VP for publisher relations, Rob Dyer, had to say:

 

Players who purchase a copy of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 will receive a Final Fantasy XIV secret in-game item and be able to enter for a potential opportunity to become a beta tester for Final Fantasy XIV for PS3.

Included inside copies of the initial production run of Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 are Campaign Codes printed on a special Square Enix Members Point Card. Players can register at Square Enix Members and receive a code to unlock the special Final Fantasy XIV limited offer.
