Is Azeroth not accepting new citizens?

Trouble brews in the WoW Europe forums as Alendriel and a number of other players joined in her concern. It seems that they can’t create new characters as the log in page shows all their deleted and existing characters. This started on February 14.

A message then informs them that they have reached the maximum number of characters allowed on the account. Blizzard poster Aeus addressed the concern and said that it is being worked on. The thread is still ongoing, some people got their accounts fixed but some didn’t.

Another forumer named Orden gave useful advise to be able to create a new character. Simply delete a useless alt and log back in so the counters will reset. It’s not a permanent or complete fix – but if you really are desperate to create a new character then that might work for you.
