Chocobo breeding returns in mobile phone release

Chocobo breeding was one of the better features in Final Fantasy VII and it’s been a while since Square Enix took the multi-talented critters to that direction. But now, Square Enix announced  Chocobo’s Crystal Tower in Japan, a mobile phone release where you play as a Chocobo breeder.

 

 

 

Chocobo breeding was one of the better features in Final Fantasy VII and it’s been a while since Square Enix took the multi-talented critters to that direction. But now, Square Enix announced  Chocobo’s Crystal Tower in Japan, a mobile phone release where you play as a Chocobo breeder.

 

In addition to being able to breed different Chocbobos, you’ll also be able to dress them up and give them the usual Square Enix jobs. There seems to be a Red Mage and even a Ninja Chocobo in the roster. You’ll be sending these Chocobos up a treasure-filled tower, but there aren’t any details just yet on how you’ll be doing so.

 

Chocobo’s Crystal Tower has only been announced for Japan so far, but seeing as a trademark of the same name has been filed in North America, we may be seeing this game up the App Store in the future.
