Chocobo’s Dungeon: Toki Wasure No Meikyuu screenshots

Chocobo‘s Dungeon was a fun set of titles from Square Enix during the PlayStation 1 era of games. Now, it seems, the series will be getting a completely new game with the introduction of Chocobo’s Dungeon: Toki Wasure No Meikyuu (also known as Chocobo’s Dungeon: Labyrinth of Forgotten Time).

These screenshots we’ve picked up from Famitsu show off some fantastic art direction for the game. It’s surprising to note that, for a dark story involving the recovery of townspeople’s missing memories, the art direction is quite light, though that’s to be expected since the hero is a chocobo.

In any case, expect to see shots of a cute white mage, as well as the first shots taken of the dungeon exploration phase, in which our plucky hero has to retrieve the memory fragments of villagers from the labyrinth of memories. Enjoy!
