Church of England demands big donation from Sony for Resistance: Fall of Man

Sony has to pay up - Image 1Things are heating up between Sony and the Church of England. As a recap, the church wants Resistance: Fall of Man to be pulled out from the shelves. Offense was taken for using the holy place as a backdrop for the violent game, and relations to gun problems in Manchester have submerged.

A meeting will finally be held on Monday by church officials to decide what actions to take against Sony, said spokesman David Marshall. What we know right now, however, is the list of demands they want from the big company.

Sony will be asked to send in their apologies, along with a huge part of the money earned by the game as donation. Other demands include pulling the game out the shelves or modifying the cathedral part, and supporting groups in Manchester that fight gun crimes.

Sony already made a statement on BBC, but it contained no formal apology. After calling the company “sick” and “sacrilegious,” the Church of England wants donation from them. What’s your take on this? Let’s hear on the comments.
