City of Heroes Gives Wings to Veterans!

Wings!

NCsoft and Cryptic Studios have been hard at work on these little treats for long-time players of both City of Heroes and City of Villains. When we last mentioned that veterans would be getting extra rewards, we weren’t able to give too much info just yet. Now, it seems, they’ve released the scheme for getting veteran items, as well as one of the said new goodies that can be unlocked through long-time play.

One of the new features veterans will unlock will be the chance to add actual wings to your hero/villain of choice. You can choose between demonic or angelic wings, even, so if there’s a chance you want your hero to be a repentant son of the devil, then by all means, complete the package.

To get veteran items, though, you must have racked up at least three months of gameplay and have an active account. Rewards will be retroactive, and you also get the vet reward on all your characters. Better still, additional veteran rewards net you costumes, badges, and new powers, among other things.

For now though, you may want to see this preview video of a hero soaring into action via his expansive angelic wings. Enjoy!
