Combining golf and guns – Ghetto Golf, needs publisher

Ghetto Golf traces its roots back to Oakland, where former member of the 90s RnB group, Raphael Saadiq, played golf on the streets, improvising golf holes with pretty much whatever he found all over the place. Decades later, the RnB performer founded his own video game company, Illfonic, along with his studio engineer, Chuck Brungardt.

Brungardt described the first game he ever developed as “Billy Madison” mees “Friday,” which sounds alright and all, lest we remember that it was Happy Gilmore who had the golf clubs – not Billy Madison.

For now, the game exists as an Unreal Tournament 3 mod, with the Illfonic using the Unreal Engine for development. The most pressing matter for them now is a publisher to support its development into a standalone downloadable on Xbox Live, PSN, and Steam.

Care to hear them out, Rockstar Games?
