Crave Entertainment announces Purr Pals for DS

purr pals - Image 1 If the theory that “the dog-cat loving thing is an either-or system” holds true, here’s something that cat lovers (and non-Nintendogs playing people) can get their paws claws on: Crave Entertainment‘s newly announced DS game, Purr Pals.

The easiest way to picture Purr Pals is to think of it as a “Nintenkitten” game of sorts. Get the picture? Yes, our feline friends will be taking the front, back, and center spotlight in this one.

Care for your own virtual pussycat as you feed, clothe, and bathe it via voice commands. You’ll also be able to buy your cat cute accessories and toys by earning your allowance.

Crave hasn’t released any screens yet but here are some of the game’s features you can look forward to:

  • 40 breeds of kittens, each with unique personalities
  • Modify your kittenÂ’s behavioral traits and customize your kitten with limitless choices
  • Use voice commands your kitten will respond to
  • Train your kitten with toys and food
  • Interact with your kitten within the environment you provide
  • Compete in fun mini-games with your kitten

Purr Pals is expected to hit the sandbox shelves late March 2007, and will sell for just in time for an MSRP of US$ 29.99.
