Custom Firmware Extender v1.0

I've got nerve. Fully tweaking my guts, now that's nerve. - Image 1For a moment, we didn’t know what to make of Cpasjuste‘s Custom Firmware Extender v1.0, but thankfully he left a nice and detailed explanation at the forums to give the details. And it befits the legacy of the brewer who made the SE-B overclocking module, which allowed SE-B users to set the speed of the PSP CPU.

Same here, but Cpasjuste didn’t say which Dark_Alex custom firmware CFE v1.0 works with. We’re going with the OE-A/B series as a logical assumption (is it too soon for something for C?), but again, hopefully Cpasjuste will clarify this in the forums or the comments soon (just to be sure, of course). Here are the options CFE adds to… whichever custom firmware it’s designed to work with:

  • Start and stop a ftpd server while under the VSH (PSP Menu) to transfer files via WIFI (WEP,WPA).
  • Reset the PSP with a button while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).
  • Power off the PSP with a button while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).
  • Change the speed of the PSP CPU/FSB while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO).
  • Start and stop Usb Mass Storage under the VSH (PSP Menu) while browsing.
  • Take a screenshot while under the VSH (PSP Menu) or in-game (UMD/ISO) saved in the PHOTO folder.
  • Set a default CPU/BUS speed at startup.
  • Set Usb Mass Storage at startup.
  • Configure your buttons mapping (NOTE button + your selected button).

All basic warnings still apply. Read Readme, use at your own risk, read Readme, follow instructions, read Readme, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please make them here and at the forums before trying anything with this homebrew on your PSP, read Readme, Cpasjuste will appreciate bug reports, too, read Readme.
