Bit of a news alert here for EA Mythic‘s Dark Age of Camelot. And before you say that this is another April Fool’s Day prank, it isn’t. This update is about the impending downtime coming this April 2 at 6 AM EST for version 1.93 of the game. And from the looks of things, it’s going to be quite the long downtime period, with an estimated time of server uptime no less than twelve hours later. That’s at 6 PM EST. Ouch.

Here’s the complete news report, verbatim: “All servers will be coming down on Wednesday, April 2nd at 6:00am EST for version 1.93. We expect the servers to be back up by 6:00pm EST.”

Well, that’s definitely the long sleep for all the servers. There isn’t any mention as to just what the downtime is for, but here’s hoping that whatever it is, it gets resolved during that long downtime period.

There’s also the deal about the new hotfix for Pendragon Server. “Players in the new tutorial zones will now release to the tutorial regardless if they have bound there or not.” So for those of us who need a bit more time to get to know the game more, this is good news. Any case, updates as we get them, so keep it locked right here for more news and developments.
