Dark AleX: CFW PSP 3.80 M33-5 now available *Update*

Steady those fingers and for the sake of not jamming up the Internet, please avoid all those F5 button mashing. We’ve just got word that Dark AleX and Team M33 will soon be releasing CFW PSP 3.80 M33-5. In light of this announcement, DAX is asking users to wait patiently.

We’ve just been alerted that Dark AleX will soon be releasing CFW PSP 3.80 M33-5 soon. Not much details have been given as to what this fifth version of the original M33-5 CFW might have, but for now, we go by the global message sent in through Dark AleX’s IRC channel:

-Global- ahem…. your attention please, M33-5 soon to ve released over the network update (I am going to global whenever it is so avoid refreshing the website or the network update feature every minutes) Thanks for your understanding

Again, please be advised that, to respect the developer’s wishes, we shouldn’t bombard nor pressure them in releasing the CFW in a rush.

*Update* Right! So it’s out! Man, that was quick! CFW PSP 3.80 M33-5 is now available! Check out the changelog

• Fixed custom CPU clock not working in games
• CPU clock has never (in any SE/OE/M33) be set at all in games that restarted using sceKernelLoadExec to use a subgame or reload themselves, after said restart happened (e.g. Castlevania). Fixed.
• Added setting to recovery to hide PIC0.PNG and PIC1.PNG in the XMB game menu
• By default off, when on you will probably notice a faster browse in XMB games.
• This setting only applies to any kind of apps/games (pbp, iso) that load from MS, but not to UMD’s.

As before, you can download the latest version via Network Update (given that you’ve installed other 3.80 M33 CFWs before). If you don’t have any Wi-Fi hotspot nearby, you can download it below.
