In the scramble for Nintendo Wiis this holiday season, it seems that some people would rather shell out an exorbitant amount of money to obtain a Nintendo Wii of their own: US$15,000 to be exact, especially when it involves an ultra rare Darth Vader Nintendo Wii for sale on eBay.

In the scramble for Nintendo Wiis this holiday season, it seems that some people would rather shell out an exorbitant amount of money to obtain a Nintendo Wii of their own: US$ 15,000 to be exact, especially when it involves an ultra rare Darth Vader Nintendo Wii for sale on eBay.

According to the eBay entry, the rare black-as-night Nintendo Wii is only one of four such Wiis available in the world today. Nintendo manufactured the Darth Vader Wii in order to promote the release of LucasArts upcoming Star Wars game, The Force Unleashed.

Unfortunately, the item is no longer available for sale, meaning that the Darth Vader Wii is probably nestled in some wealthy Nintendo Wii collector’s treasure chest of prized merchandise. Unless the other Darth Vader Wii owners plan to part with their rare consoles, it looks like we’ll have to remain content with the regular edition Nintendo Wiis – once they become available, that is.
