Disaster: Day of Crisis Wii screenshots
Monolith Soft‘s Disaster: Day of Crisis for the Wii attempts to give the survival games genre a new twist by foregoing plots revolving around heroes killing zombies or creatures created by genetic experiments. Instead, the video game’s character is tasked to contend with various disasters such as floods, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes.
What made the title’s plot really interesting is this tweak: In the midst of the disasters, a rogue special forces unit has taken the opportunity of stealing a nuclear bomb. The lead character is then assigned to retrieve the stolen nuclear weapon. The screenshots we have for you in this post show some of the more gripping scenes of the game, including having to revive a civilian and shootouts with armed soldiers.
Disaster: Day of Crisis is slated to be released in Japan by December 31, with a U.S. launch following next year.
