Namco Bandai Game Producer”>Ryo Mito, Namco Bandai Producer for video game Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, was recently interviewed regarding the progress of their game. The next installment to the highly successful video game franchise is still scheduled for a holiday release, but Mito said that it is already 90% complete.

Regarding Budokai Tenkaichi 3‘s story mode, Ryo Mito shared that it is very expansive because players will get different results depending on the character they choose and the outcome of their battles. There will also be a “What If?” story every time the story branches out.

Aside from the usual graphical enhancement, several changes were also made to DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. According to Ryo Mito, the new game will now be using the motion-sensor instead of the pointing device so players will have more fun controlling their characters.

Those who’ve played Budokai Tenkaichi 2 might be interested to note that leveling up was totally revamped for this game and was replaced by a new system known as “Z Point”. Ryo Mito explained:

We’ve made adjustments to how transformations will happen in the game, as well as how each character’s fight adjusts as a result. This is the point the player receives, and it tells player the number of items that the character can carry. If you get more Z Point, youÂ’ll be able to carry more Z-Items so that the power of the character increases.

Ryo Mito added as well that fusion characters will still be available and just like in the anime, GT Goku is still going to be the strongest character. About transformations, the producer said that this is dependent on the appearance of the full moon in the game.
