It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally here. GrooveStep, which has been in development since April, gets a public beta release for everyone to enjoy.

GrooveStep is a DS homebrew application by bioroid that lets you compose your own music, set different rifs, layer sound clips, and mix them all into your own song.

• Song Features:
• 16 monophonic tracks with up to 2 samples per track
• Tempo: 30-300 BPM
• Pattern Editor features:
• Variable pattern length: 1-64 steps
• Variable pattern playback speeds: 1x, 2x, 4x
• Mixer features:
• 16 channels with volume, pan, solo and mute controls
