DS Lite aims to invade Japan

Nintendo’s DS Lite, barely a month old in Japan, is facing high demand and thus the company has decided to dump 700,000 more units to the land of the rising profits, I mean, sun. The redesigned portable unit is savoring country-wide acceptance from the raw fish-Nintendo DS Liteloving community as distrubutors face long lines of gamers eager to try out the product.

The handheld Nintendo DS Lite, a reboot of the original DS which also enjoyed sell-outs all over Japan, is set to arrive in bunches this coming April. It plays all DS and GBA games as the current Nintendo DS only with added features and new hardware tweaks aimed to enhance the gaming experience as well as system usability. Now that’s really heavy (revenue and effeciency) for something so “Lite”.

Other parts of the world are also salivating at this pocket-sized machine, unfortunately, Nintendo has not yet announced a release date for it in North America or other regions outside of Japan. North Americans just have to be thankful for oil and fried/grilled fish for now.
