DS Lite mod: Zelda Master Sword/Shield crest and LED lights

In the tradition of the full Wii mod of the Zelda Master Sword and Shield comes this new version on eBay. The same guy (freakf-ingtastik) applied the same mod to the Wii’s older family member, the Nintendo DS Lite. And as before, the auctioneer is setting this up for Penny Arcade‘s “Child’s Play” charity. Check out the mod:

Similar to the Wii mod, the LED lights symmetrically give a backlight to the Master Sword/Shield crest – which, by the way, can rotate, and hence makes it Brain Training-friendly. And if you’re wondering about where the LED lights get their power from, we quote: “The back lighting is only activated when the DS is either plugged into the wall or while in it’s charging stand so the battery life for gameplay is NOT affected!” So it kinda like replaces the charging-LED on the top right corner (of a closed DS Lite). Ingenious!

Now, if only The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass gets released sometime soon, this mod would be perfect!
