EA announces Madden NFL 09 official ship date and special collector’s edition

Tired of updating your Madden NFL 08 (Xbox 360, Wii, PSP, DS, PC, and PS3) rosters? Electronic Arts made a couple of announcements that will probably make you very happy.

The first is that Madden NFL 2009  for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii, and DS will be arriving in North American retail stores by August 12. The second, is that there will be a Madden NFL 09 20th Anniversary CollectorÂ’s Edition for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The collector’s edition of the game is said to contain full versions of both Madden NFL 09 and the all-new NFL Head Coach 09, exclusive classic Madden NFL gameplay, and plenty of exclusive bonus video content.
In case you plan on picking up the Madden NFL 09 20th Anniversary CollectorÂ’s Edition, you might want to know that it should be going for around US$ 89.99.
