Associate Producer Jim Vesella took the time to answer some questions regarding the storyline and the units in Command and Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath.

For example, Vesella said that there was a reason why the Kane’s Wrath storyline will span numerous games, instead of merely continuing the Tiberium Wars story.

EA wanted to hit two birds with one stone by continuing the story of Tiberium Wars and answering numerous fan questions as to what happened after Tiberium Sun. As Vesella put it: “Kane’s Wrath has given us the opportunity to expand beyond the traditional expansion pack formula from a fictional standpoint.”

Also, the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) seems to have more “bonus” units than any of the other factions in Kane’s Wrath. Says Vesella, fans of the game requested for such units as the GDI Titan and the Wolverine rather late during the game’s developments. Despite of this, however, EA still wanted to oblige long-time fans. Not surprisingly, a lot of the new units in the expansion were based on actual fan feedback (eg. the GDI Hammerhead.)

Vesella also touched upon a number of other subjects such as the contributions of the new sub-factions in Kane’s Wrath and the Global Conquest Mode, among other things. If you’d like additional information on these, the source link below will take you back to the full interview.

Oh, and in case you’re wondering about a possible PlayStation 3 version of Kane’s Wrath, Vesella had this to say: ” Right now C&C3 is sticking to the Xbox 360, but stay tuned for any future announcements!”
