Electronic Arts hosts the first Women in Games International Conference

PMS ClanElectronic Arts, a company that has a knack for jumping on the next big thing ahead of everyone else, is taking female gamers seriously. EA is hosting the first Women in Games International “From Production to Profit: Creating and Marketing Games for Women” at the company’s San Francisco office in March 2007.

The conference will discuss the future of game design and game marketing as the female player marketplace matures and expands. The event’s panel and roundtable topics include:

  • By Design: Building Games for Women Who Play
  • The Medium Is the Message: Marketing Games to Women who Play
  • Meet the Producers
  • Introduction to Careers in Gaming

EA has been at the forefront of promoting videogames for women and for a good reason. According to Nielsen, 64% of 117 million on-line gamers in North America are women.
