EntroPay no longer accepted on PSN

PlayStation Network - Image 1There’s a new payment scheme being implemented by Sony over at the PlayStation Network. Unfortunately, it renders your EntroPay useless. Find out more about this bad news after the jump.

EntroPay card - Image 1Heads up guys. We just found out that the virtual Visa Card issuer Entropay is no longer accepted in Sony‘s PlayStation Network. Sucks, right? That means that unless you have a US credit card, you can not avail yourself of a copy of Qore, or pretty much anything else.

SgtBeano of the PlayStation Europe forums received the bad news from EntroPay themselves when he attempted to buy a Qore online. Here’s what the letter said:

Dear XXXXXXX

We apologise for the inconvenience. Although our cards accepted by a vast majority of online merchants, please note Playstation has changed their payment mechanism and is unable to process payments with prepaid cards. Any pre-authorisations you have should be refunded within 6 working days. Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards

Michelle
