EVE Online German Client To Be Unveiled At Leipzig

EVE Online

Lots of good news for EVE Online fans this week. After we reported EVE Online setting a new peak concurrent users record, we now have a little something for the German fans of the game. CCP Games, the people behind EVE Online, announced that they will be launching a German version of the game at the Leipzig Games Convention. The Leipzig Games Convention will take place in Leipzig, Germany on August 24 to 27 of this year.

CCP is also announcing support for Direct Debit in cooperation with GlobalCollect and will be ready shortly after the Leipzig show. Direct Debit is the preferred payment method of gamers in Germany and therefore an important payment addition to the already wide selection of payment methods offered by CCP.

The German client will be the first localized version of the EVE Online client on the Tranquility cluster. Visitors to the Games Convention in Leipzig are welcomed to view the first showing of the new client in the CCP stand B05 in Hall 5 of the Leipziger Messe.

With the announcement of this new German client and the already-supported Chinese client, CCP will now be able to introduce new language versions of the EVE Online client with relative ease.
