Extend your winter break with Winter Sports

Winter SportsOh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since we’ve got no place to go, let it snow me ski! Let me ski! Let me ski! The corn you brought for popping would just have to wait, dear. Here’s something to get all you snow-slope-ski fans to get excited about.

Oxygen Interactive is flagging up to expand their franchise of sports games with Winter Sports. Inspired by the Winter Olympics, this title will heat gamers up by skiing down slopes, weaving through gates, and sliding around turns.

CEO Jim Scott seems to keep this title of theirs in high regard. No surprise there. If you can’t make it up to the mountains, then at least you can still get some Winter action in your PC or PS2. Here’s what he’s got to say:

We are looking forward to the launch of Winter Sports. There is massive sales potential for a winter games title at this time of year … thinking about escaping for some fun in the snow. Winter Sports will offer them an alternative or extension to their winter sports activities, and looks set to be another very successful title for us.

The game’s release on February is still a long way off, but it’s never going to be late for some winter fun. In the meantime, you can go outside to your front yard and make some snow angels.
