Extreme Onslaught DS

dsAfter months of working on his DS multi-directional homebrew shooter, John Tokash finally released Extreme Onslaught for the trigger-happy DS fans to enjoy.

Extreme Onslaught, which has seven different enemy types, was inspired by the shoot-em-up (shmup) genre where players must annihilate the enemies. The genre was made famous by the legendary Space Invaders, and has since morphed into various game configurations.

To install the game:

  • Use ExtremeOnslaught.nds with Dualis or GBAMP (Desmume crashes with this build.)
  • Use ExtremeOnslaught.sc.nds with Supercard
  • Use ExtremeOnslaught.ds.gba with other flash cards including the G6

Game controls include:

  • Control movement: Dpad or the ABXY buttons
  • Launch bombs: Shoulder buttons
  • Control of weapon fire direction: Drag stylus or finger on the touch screen to control.
  • After a short period of gameplay, the weapon will start to spread out.  For wider weapon fire, move the stylus far from the center of your touch screen.  For more tight fire, keep the stylus centered.
