Fallout 3 Teaser trailer video

It’s here, and frankly it’s taken the entire gaming community (us here in the office included) by storm. Our patience, continuously feted by gorgeous-looking mockups of popular landmarks in various states of post-apocalyptic wear and tear has finally been rewarded with this: the teaser trailer of the highly-anticipated Fallout 3, courtesy of Bethesda‘s own teaser website and Youtube.

Watching the video, we certainly got a chill – the song that plays throughout the trailer is eerily haunting, if you take in the fact that Fallout‘s world is set in a future where all things have been pretty much screwed up by nukes. We also see a very familiar face, one only seen in the game’s skill and abilities descriptions. Then the camera zooms out, allowing us to take in a very disturbing sight – a whole city in a horrible state of calamity, as well as an armed individual we may be stumbling upon in the game.

The whole screen then quickly fades to black, the voiceover rings in our ears – “War. War never changes.” – and then we finally get to the juiciest part of the treat: Fallout 3 to be released in Fall 2008.

It’s certainly a long wait, but if we’ve waited all this time for another classic to have its sequel, then what’s another year? Updates about the post-nuclear RPG as we get them, and in the meantime, enjoy the video!
