Farlan: Beyond Dark and Light’s subscription boo-boo

Dark and LightIt’s a good thing we came across an interview about Farlan Entertainment and its MMO game, Dark and Light. To be frank about it, we’re quite uncomfortable that the last thing we know about it is players being charged despite having no subscriptions. The interview involves Farlan Marketing Manager Ms. Géralldine Lescs.

While the interview is quite long, we’re pleased to tell you that everything is finally coming together for them. Above everything else, the piece focused on the various transportation means within the fictional world of Ganareth. After all, it wouldn’t be fun to run through the whole 40,000 square kilometers just to quest, explore and meet up other players.

Aside from the rather unconventional mounts such as paraglides, parachutes and snowboards, DnL offers a public transportation network for long distance travels (hot air balloons, boats, cable cars and flying dragons). Accordingly, each zone within Ganareth has a main village wherein at least one public transportation network is provided.

Also, Ms. Lescs excitedly discussed the social aspect of the game: “When a player joins a community of players, each member already present automatically receives a number of SXP according to his rank in the community and the number of members that constitute it.”

Dark and Light deals with things that go beyond the notions of good and evil and even go beyond people and gods. To know more about the game and Farlan Entertainment, refer to the read link below for the whole interview.
