Thanks to Shounen Jump, Japan‘s weekly manga magazine, we’ve got more new details on Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, 360). Particularly interesting are the revelations on the new character names. There are three new  members to get to know from the team Nora, as spearheaded by Snow Villiers:

  • Gabo – (or Gabou) Spiked, blonde hair; resembles Wakka of Final Fantasy X
  • Lebro – (or Rebro) Lone female member of the team, is described as strong-willed and kind, but most noticeable for the daringly oober low cut shirt she wears. But Square Enix probably put in sufficient guaranties against waldrobe malfunctions ala Janet in SuperBowl. Hopefully.
  • Markie – (or Marquis) Short, blond hair, goggles, Chicago Cubs jacket. Described to be timid, but is also a fine member of Nora.

A reminder, though. The names are not the exact translations of their Japanese names, so it’s possible that they could be introduced under a different one by Square Enix later on. Also, Lightning is not listed as a member of Nora.

Apparently, while both Lightning and Snow recognize the same enemy in the holy government army, their advocacies are totally polar from each other. Team Nora’s goal is to help people who are being forced to move to the world of Pulse below. Lightning’s, on the other hand, is not as clear.

That’s all we have for you now. Yeah, yeah, we know. We’d love to know more too. Guess we’ll just have to wait for the upcoming Japanese demo, then. It’s coming sometime mid-April and will be packaged with the Japanese release of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete. That’s because the images from Shounen Jump were taken directly from the demo.
