First details for Lost: The Video Game

Lost - Image 1Xbox World 360 has an exclusive look at Ubisoft‘s upcoming Lost video game slated for next week. As a teaser, video game news site CVG got a few details off the magazine’s interview with the game’s development team.

Fans of the TV show will be able to recognize a lot of the elements they’ve come to love. The game’s development team has reportedly stuck to the rules of the TV show as closely as possible:

The Dharma Initiative hatches should look as they do on the series. Anything we put in the game needs to fit with the show. Along with the producers of Lost, we agreed from the start that the game can’t be viewed as a little side project that doesn’t count. The game does count and things you learn in the game can be applied to fans’ theories about the Lost universe.

The flashbacks will also be an important element in the game. When players enter flashback locations, “everything will be quite vague and blurry, and things only become clear after specific actions are triggered.” Some of the flashbacks will feature a few familiar castaways as well.

More on this game as details come to light, so keep checking back here for updates. Lost: The Video Game is expected to hit PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
