First ever Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix gameplay footage

After being teased by character artwork numerous times, the folks from Capcom finally unleashed gameplay footage of Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The video appeared on Capcom blog’s latest update, featuring Ryu and Ken doing what they do best.

Producer Rey Jimenez took a snippet of the game himself using his camera phone, so the quality is far from glorious HD. Still, it looks good and it’s going to get better according to Jimenez. He stated on the blog post that the HUD and fonts are still “very early” and work is waiting to jazz them up. Jimenez also stressed out that the framerate is bad because of the quality of his phone’s video camera, and not the game itself.

Jimenez shouldn’t be too worried though, because we’re not complaining. While we fantasize about playing Street Fighter II in widescreen, we’ll leave you with the game’s first ever footage.
