Folklore PSP in development, PS3 build on show at GC Leipzig

Folklore PSP in development, PS3 build on show at GC Leipzig - Image 1This next one should be a total surprise for most, if not the whole video game industry. We learned today, through online site Kikizo, that the much-anticipated PlayStation 3 title Folklore will have a PlayStation Portable version. The news was spilled towards our direction by Sony Game Producer Bill Ritch.

While Ritch was reluctant to elaborate on Folklore PSP, he mentioned that video game creator Kouji Okada will be heading the development team in charge of the PSP build. Okada is the same guy behind RPG Shin Megami Tensei.

This really is exciting development for the PlayStation community. A direct port is not at all bad but we can’t help but wonder if developer Game Republic will be implementing some sort of connectivity for both versions. When asked about this, Ritch refused to comment.

The producer, however, did say that Folklore for the PS3 will be making an appearance at this year’s Games Convention at Leipzig. As always, updates as we get them!
