Freaking sweet silver: PSP-Slim promo pack now available, others to follow

Daxter Entertainment Pack - Image 1Sony has just sent out a press wire for a new PSP Slim package now available for purchase. The kit is dubbed the Daxter PSP Entertainment Pack, and as you’ve probably guessed, contains a copy of Ready At Dawn‘s Daxter game, among other goodies. Here’s a shortlist of what comes with the US$ 199.99 package:

  • Daxter (game)
  • The Family Guy: The Freakin’ Sweet Collection (Video collection)
  • “Ice Silver” PSP-Slim system
  • 1 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo

Noticeably missing from the pack are the Slim’s cables – Sony noted that they’re going to be available later during the year. Both the Component AV Cable (For playing games on a monitor)and AV Cable (for video out) will sell for US$ 19.99 each. Further along this September, Sony will also be releasing the PSP Slim “Piano Black” core package. This contains the aforementioned PSP, a standard AC adaptor, a battery pack, and will cost US$ 169.99.

And finally, for the Star Wars fans, we’ve got the limited-edition Star Wars Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack. This combo entitles buyers to a special “Ceramic White” PSP Slim with Darth Vader‘s image emblazoned on the back, as well as a copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron. The Battlefront pack will cost US$ 199, and is expected to launch on October 9.
