Free Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires DLC adds new costumes and a music track

Dynasty Warrior factory Koei has just announced that they’re rolling out DLC for Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires starting this week. All the add-on content will be free and you can get them via PSN and Xbox Live for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions respectively. Let’s now take a look at what they’ve got for us this week.

Artemis Armor Set (for women)

Ooooh, hot. It kinda makes you imagine that’s what Yue Ying has under her garb, either her or that’s what Zhang He would really like to wear. While I really don’t believe that this lingerie would qualify as armor, it really won’t matter anyway if you’ve get wrapped in layers of titanium alloy anyway. So the lesson here is: less is more.

Kempo Armor Set (for men)

This one I like better than the other three, minus the shell-looking bandanna. Knuckle-gloves always look cool, and it could blend well with your usual Dynasty Warrior look. Looks like it can go with both the staff and the melee weapon users, so if you’re tired of your old threads, try this one out for size.

Queen Armor Set (for women)

What happens when Queen-of-England Barbie suits up for battle? This is what you’ll get. I imagine your female warriors needing one hand to pull the dress up while running around to keep herself from tripping on it. Actually, Zhang He might like this one better than the Artemis set.

Royal Armor Set (for men)

While this one screams “You’re in the wrong country, Your Highness,” the king look definitely stands out when fighting all them Chinese soldiers. I’d prefer that this one comes with ye olde English accent and vocabulary for the voice set, but that may be asking for too much. But the crown. You gotta respect the crown.

Apart from the four costumes, Additional BGM Track Pack #1 will also come with the batch. New DLC will be available next week, and after that, releases would have a bi-weekly sched. All that would be free, so be sure to keep checking back with us for the heads up.
