Thanks to coder genevois over at the QJ.NET PS Development Forums, we’re letting you guys know that Freeesh has been updated to v1.1. Here’s a recap in case you weren’t around during this homebrew game’s October release:

Freeesh for the PSP puts you in control of a molecule. You job is to ensure that it grows by eating smaller molecules, even as you avoid getting eaten by bigger molecules. The game was created by the realtech VR team (Inferno, Genevois, and Execom for this particular project), who were also responsible for gems like Panic Paradyz, and No Gravity.

  • As for Freeesh v1.1’s changelog:
  • Compatibility for FW 3.x / SLIM
  • New package, smaller, quicker to copy
  • Some speed optimizations.
  • Some bug fixes as well.

The EBOOT that comes with the file bundle is for PSPs running on firmware 3.40 + OE or 3.71 OE. The compressed bundle with the “FW150” label contains an EBOOT for PSPs running on firmware versions 1.50 and 2.71. Be sure to visit genevois’ thread over at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forums to send in your feedback, or to join in the discussions.
