Gamers Downunder Rushing To Get Their Hands on Xbox 360

Actually itÂ’s down and to the right of Downunder, New Zealand that is.  Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse store in Hamilton is hosting Xbox gaming night leading up to the new Xbox 360 hitting the shelves just after midnight Kiwi Time.  The storeÂ’s manager said that pre-orders were pouring in and “it’s overwhelming.”

 

Dick Smith Electronics and Dick Smith Electronics PowerHouse will retail Xbox 360 package for $718  which includes a console, 20GB hard drive, wireless controller, faceplate, media remote, GVA HD AV cable and Xbox Live silver membership. Xbox 360 sold out within hours of going on sale in the United States last November, with some packages being resold on the internet for up to $US2500.
