Time for happy explosive mayhem, old-school Bomberman style! Hudson Soft‘s offering Japan“>TurboGrafx-16 titles for the Wii’s virtual console, and they’re poised to make over 40 games throughout 2007.

The developer will be releasing five games in the US and Europe, while the lucky Japanese will get to pick between 7 Turbografx-16 titles to purchase. Each of these titles are priced at 600 Wii Points, or approximately US$ 6 and are all expected to be out between now and year’s end.

Now, if you’re wondering about the list of titles, let’s give you the lowdown for each region. America and Europe will both get Bonk’s Adventure, Bomberman ’93, Dungeon Explorer, Super Star Soldier, and Victory Run. Japan, on the other hand, will get Adventure Island and Necromancer in addition to the titles mentioned above, with Bomberman ’94 replacing Bomberman ’93.

One thing you have to wonder about though. ¥ 600 converts to around five bucks and change in the US or four Euro, depending on where you live. Those Japanese gamers are really lucky, and you have to wonder if Nintendo will make it cheaper for us to buy their games later on.
