Gladiator Begins getting free DLC

Gladiator Begins has since been confirmed for a July 13 PSN release following a leak by online retailer Gamefly. Publisher Aksys have also announced that the game will be getting free DLC.

The DLC is free in terms of real-world money but you still have to earn some in-game coin to purchase them. Those up for grabs include new armor, weapons, and characters.

 

Here’s a quick look at the game’s features:

 

• Fight for Glory and Freedom! Your Gladiator will face many trials in his/her fight for freedom. You’ll encounter slaves, nobles, gladiators and furious animals.
• Earn the respect of politicians and the love of the Romans! Gain a patron’s favor and experience unique story paths. There are 5 different patrons to devote your allegiance to!
• Develop your own signature techniques Every Gladiator has their own personal flair! Master the art of combat with dual weapons, sword & shield, hand-to-hand, and polearms. Learn new skills to entertain the crowd like Smash, Cyclone, Drop Kick and Wild Dance!

 

The gladiator fights commence on July 13. The wording’s a bit sketchy, but it seems a demo will also be available on the same day.
