Google‘s feed service, Google Reader, wrapped up a pretty package just for Wii web surfers using the console’s Opera Browser. You can pretty much expect that Google Reader is everything an RSS feed service is, but so much more. Interestingly, not only is the service placed in an Opera-friendly web page, it’s also treated with easy to read text sizes and images laid out in a Wii browser fashion.

We could lay out the controls right here to get you started on importing your own subscriptions – or creating new ones if you recently didn’t have any – but it would detract you from learning the other intricate aspects of the service. You must have a Google account to use the service, however.

So if you’ve had a Google Mail account sitting idle, it should do the trick. After logging in, you’ll be treated to a welcome page plus an overview video or a low-bandwidth-friendly HTML tour of Google Reader’s features.
