Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars to have online game mode?

Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars - Image 1Take this as a point for Rockstar Game’s Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars – as it turns out, the game may have online capabilities. But to what extent? Will this mean that we’re going to have an online game mode akin to Grand Theft Auto 4? At this point, all we can do is speculate. Check out the details in the full article.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection - Image 1When you heard about Rockstar Games developing a Grand Theft Auto title for the DS, one of the foremost things that probably popped into your head is the question “will it have online play?” Apparently the answer is yes, if we are to refer to the newly-added icons in Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars.

One look at the bottom part of the screen reveals the blue Nintendo Wi-Fi connection logo, which means that the game will have online connectivity in some form. There are no details whether this will mean that the DS would have an online mode similar to Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), or if it’s just limited to trading items, however.

Since we haven’t received any confirmation concerning Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars having online capabilities, there is also a remote possibility that the Wi-Fi logo in the game’s official website is just a placeholder. It’s sad, but anything’s possible at this point. That said, we’re going to tag this as a rumor for now.
